More Candy in a Jar

In the second edition cookbook, you'll find a whole new set of scrumptious recipes to choose from.

Aplets and Cotlets Butter
This thick and creamy "butter" is full of sweetness straight from the Pacific Northwest.  A delicate candy that gels apples or apricots with walnuts and wraps it in powdered sugar – how could you not can it?    This is a great topping for biscuits or fresh rolls to add a bit of wonderful sweetness to your meal.

Butterbeer Jelly
In a Harry Potter mood?   Want some yummy, sweet, frothy goodness … at your fingertips?  Then whip up a batch of this wonderful jelly and have it on hand to enjoy whenever the mood strikes.
(No alcohol is used in this recipe)

Caramel Apple Butter
This is a great variation on apple butter – for those days when you want just a little more sweetness.  Besides, as long as you’re bottling all the wonderful fall flavors, you might as well include caramel apples in the bunch!  Thick, sweet goodness with chunks of apple and swirls of caramel make this a recipe not pass up.

Peach Melba Jam
A wonderfully fresh and fancy dessert – now at your fingertips!  Sweet syrup encasing fresh peaches makes this one to die for.  Naturally it’s wonderful over ice cream.  Have on hand for a decadent dessert anytime!

Queen Anne Chocolate Covered Cherry
Sweet decadence of this wonderfully sweet candy all wrapped up in a jar and ready to be enjoyed.  Whether drizzled over ice cream, smothered on pancakes, or straight from the jar – this one’s a keeper!

Red Hots Cinnamon Pepper Jelly
After several requests for a more savory flavor, I decided to mix the wonders of cinnamon with the spice of peppers.  Together they make a fabulous blend of sweet and spicy, a perfect addition for an appetizer.  Don’t let it scare you - it’s delicious!
Strawberry Lemonade Marmalade
A perfect flavor of summer, all year long!  Unlike many marmalades, this is not as tart as you’d normally encounter.  Rather, it takes just like the real thing, with crisp lemons and sweet strawberries.  And it even comes out a beautiful pink color!

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Jam
Strawberry rhubarb is definitely something you seem to either like or you don’t.  But if you like it, then this is a great recipe for you.  Because who has time to make homemade pie all the time?  With this you can spread that ooey-gooey goodness over toast, pancakes, or biscuits for a quick treat.

Watermelon Jolly Rancher
Jolly Ranchers are a classic, and everyone knows that the watermelon ones were the best.  This delicious jelly combines the sweetness of watermelon with a bit of extra sugary-ness for a perfect touch of indulgence.  This one reminds me of my childhood.
